super-charged growing week

It's all been happening in the garden in the last week and I have not been there to enjoy the flurry of activity.

I was away on business for the week so no evenings in the garden after a day at the office.

Poly House or Green Tunnel ?!

A totally novice question here, but what is the difference between a poly-tunnel and a green house?

Yes, I know one is a traditional house shape and the other a tunnel, but which should I buy? Why should I buy it?

Gardening Gloves - the return

I know you have all been on the edge of your seat wondering what I would do in the aftermath of the worn out gloves story.

pre-recycling in support of the veg

I'm two weeks into my first ever veg garden and already I feel robbed.

Squirrel Sunday

Today was mostly a wash out in the garden, literally.   Too much rain for anything constructive.  The downpours did ease off in the afternoon, however by that point I had found other things to occupy my time.

Early evening saw the arrival of a lovely red squirrel to my garden, so here's a few shots to make you smile.

weeding back ache

The weather forecast was for cold and wet; based on the view that greeted me this morning I would say it was an accurate assessment.

However, as the afternoon crept along the rain disappeared, the wind lifted and the sun shone on occasion   The breeze made for a cool outdoor experience but I was determined to do something in the garden so I got stuck in to weeding, which kept me warm!
